About him
I’m a keen runner (not the fastest, but enthusiastic!) — you’ll usually find me at parkrun on a Saturday, running or volunteering. In recent years I’ve ticked off the Bristol and Bath Halfs, the Great North Run, and (very slowly!) the London Marathon.
Outside of that: piano (still a work in progress), occasional weekends in my VW camper, board games with friends (happy to teach), and the occasional wander with the National Trust or at a heritage railway.
I enjoy good food, a pint of real ale or a glass of wine, and a decent day out. TV tends towards things like The Repair Shop and The Chase, with a bit of F1 or football now and then. Musically, I’m fairly eclectic — from sea shanties in Falmouth to seeing The Corrs in Cardiff.
I’m semi-retired after a career in IT, now doing some part-time vehicle delivery — which suits me nicely and keeps life varied.
I’d love to meet someone easy-going, warm, and on a similar wavelength — to share some of this, and bring their own interests too. I’m laid-back, loyal, tactile, and a good listener. At my best, I’m part of a team — and I’m looking forward to building that again with the right person.
I’ve lived in Somerset since 2001 (originally a Londoner) and amicably separated for several years. For now two grown-up kids share the same large property but living independently, while various practicalities and a longer-term plan are currently being sorted out. Meantime, I’m mobile, active, ready to move forward and build something new.
